A village and beautiful surroundings. Elisabeth, charming and discreet, gave us a very warm welcome. An ideal place to recharge your batteries.

We had a wonderful stay and if we return to Autoire we would be delighted to rent your cottage again.

Elisabeth was out of town when we visited, so her boyfriend Luis was our host. And what a host! He’s friendly, open, and generous, a philosophical artist, and he makes a mean breakfast (with herbs from the castle’s garden!). Just meeting him made us happy to stay here. The castle itself is gorgeous and homey—we were in a big, comfortable bedroom with a big en-suite bathroom, and we enjoyed spending time in the large sitting room upstairs, with an incredible library of books and movies, and the large sitting room downstairs, with a Foosball table and a fireplace. Not to mention the beautiful garden! The pictures give some idea, but it’s even better than it looks. Autoire is a delightful little jewel box of a town, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France (Les Plus Beaux Villages de France). There’s not much to do there besides wander the streets and enjoy the views, visit the Church of Saint Pierre, or hike through the forest to the waterfall or up to the Chateau des Anglais. There’s no market and only two restaurants (one at the hotel, which doesn’t offer breakfast to nonguests but where we had a good dinner and whose owners are very nice, and one crêpe place, which wasn’t open while we were there). The town and the castle are a quiet, beautiful vacation base, and we were happy to return to them (and to Luis’s warm greeting) each night after a day spent exploring the area.

Autoire . . . A dream that came true for me after staring at a picture I saw in a magazine in 2005. It melted my heart and I was determined to visit the Dordogne region. The chateau met all of my expectations. The gardens were coming into full bloom and the wisteria draped its vine around the French door that opened to songbirds and church bells. I loved it and would come back. Thank you!!

We are very happy with the rental and we really had a very pleasant stay in a truly charming village, in a very pleasant region to explore.

During the holidays, I slept in the top room where I could see all the rooftops of Autoire nearby. I could hear the birds singing in the morning. I really liked the castle because it was very big and beautiful. There were books for children. I also liked the garden and the beautiful surrounding area.

フランスで最も美しい村の一つに数えられるオートワール、16世紀末のその高台に建てられたビュスケイユ城。その一翼を占めるジット（民宿）は、本来の城の持つ魅力（素朴な瓦屋根、石壁、暖炉、手描き装飾が施された天井、梁）を保存しながら、現代人が快適に滞在できるよう上手に改装されている。オーナーが愛情を込めて手入れする見事な庭園も含め、どっちを向いても美しいとしかいいようがない。三階建ての最上階の窓からは素晴らしい村の景色が見渡せ、間近の教会の鐘の音で目覚める。すぐ前の坂道を下ると、小さなレストランやカフェが囲む中心広場に出る。村人になった気分で、ゆっくり時間をかけて田舎暮らしするような滞在ができる、素敵な場所。インターネット接続も含め、キッチン等現代人の生活に必要な設備は全て整っているが、冬場は激寒に対応できるだけの暖房がないそうなので、夏場の滞在に限られる。 （佐和子、5人家族で1週間滞在）

We were delighted with our stay. As lovers of “old stones,” our eyes were feasted by this charming village and by your home, which we would love to get to know better. We hope to one day settle in this magnificent region, and until that time comes, we will be sure to return to your home.

We were very happy with our stay at the Château de Busqueilles. We appreciated the various details, both decorative and practical, in the house and garden. The comfort, the location in the village, the peaceful atmosphere, and the proximity to the climbing site were perfect for us. We will definitely be organizing another stay at “Au Château”!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at the Château de Busqueilles. The accommodation was excellent and very comfortable, the sun was always shining, and the scenery was magnificent. We would definitely recommend it. The Padirac sinkhole and the restaurant, Le Relais de Castelnau in Loubressac, will remain etched in our memories.

We spent two weeks in the house this summer with our children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. The house is spacious and very pleasant. We appreciated being able to cook on site as the kitchen is very well equipped, and we enjoyed the terrace. What’s more, we received a very warm welcome and loved the region!

We are delighted to testify to the excellent stay we had at your cottage in May 2015. Discovering the site of Autoire and the privileged location of the Château de Busqueilles, as well as the layout of a rich and well-kept garden overlooking the village, we also appreciated the exceptional abundance of amenities, crockery, and various accessories made available to vacationers. All the arrangements made demonstrate the care taken to respect the site as well as the trust placed in those who occupy it. The weather was also perfect, allowing us to enjoy the riches of the region to the full. With sincere gratitude.

This cottage is spacious, comfortable, very quiet, and at the same time very close to a beautiful village (3 minutes on foot), with a pleasant, shaded terrace, ideal for eating or relaxing. The welcome was very pleasant and the advice on excursions was very useful. In short, our stay was perfect and we will be back. We felt very much at home with you, with a bonus for the first-floor bedroom. Thank you again for your suggestions for walks.

We spent a week in the Château’s two-person cottage and, despite a last-minute reservation, we received an excellent welcome. The cottage is very well equipped and quiet. What’s more, the view of the village of Autoire with the cliffs in the background is magnificent. We are very happy with our stay in this region, which is so rich in things to discover and so beautiful.

We especially appreciated the peace and quiet. The region is friendly and welcoming, with beautiful views from the cottage and a pleasant interior.

The village is very beautiful and the locals are welcoming. What I liked most was the Padirac sinkhole and the Tauriac lake, where I made lots of friends!!!

The castle is very beautiful with a lovely view of Autoire and the waterfall. I really enjoyed the Ludo tours in Loubressac, the open-air cinema, the Padirac cave, and swimming in the Tauriac lake.

What stands out about the château, a magnificent building with all the comforts, is the beauty of the landscape and the peace and quiet. Autoire is truly one of the most beautiful villages in France, with lots to discover in the surrounding area with the family or with the help of the tourist office. We never get bored and time flies by, so we’ll have to come back to visit everything we didn’t have time to do and taste!
